FIRST EVER PRIVATE EVENT HELD BY VET PRACTICE FOR ITS MEMBERS!

On Friday 5th July 2019, we held our first ever private event; an exclusive evening occasion called Amity ‘Think Different’, especially for our members.

Almost a hundred attendees including the Deputy Mayor Cllr Mike Joyce and local businesses turned up for this unique experience.

The evening’s event kicked off with a thought-provoking and inspiring presentation on ’The Secret of Amity’ presented by Dr Lennon Foo, followed on by a demonstration of the intricate, gravity-defying Brazilian game, Capoeira. It ended with a sensational salsa class and exotic Latin music for the rest of the night. Finger food was served and the club bar was made available. Selected stalls including Animal in Distress were set up. Over £200 was raised for the Animals in Distress that evening.

The evening was very well-received with various compliments. It has been described as ‘pivotal and inspirational’ by Clare D, a dedicated pet owner who lives in Newton Abbot and ‘enjoyable and informative’ by Cllr Mike Joyce.

This is going to be an annual event, be sure to join us next time!

We also provide Evening Talks every 2nd Friday of each month for pet owners who are interested in learning more. The next talk titled ‘Vaccinations, Titre-testing or just not bother?’ will be on the 9th August 2019, Friday at Forde Hall Social Club for a 6.15pm start.
